Hi, I’m Melissa Dungey. I’m the founder of Delphinium Marketing and the author of 21 Marketing Ideas for Salons and Spas.

I’ve been in PR/Marketing since 2009. For several years, I was the National Marketing Director for the 2nd largest wildlife pest control franchise in the U.S., where the focus was on internet marketing, until the corporate office moved from Dunbar, WV to Houston, Texas. After a short stint in restaurant management, I realized that I really missed the excitement, challenges, and creativity involved in marketing and graphic design and started Expeditions Marketing and Design in 2015. In 2020, the name was changed to Delphinium Marketing, reflecting my love of flower gardening.

Delphinium is located in Charleston, WV and has worked with beauty and healthcare businesses since its first year in business. Over the last few years, it has transitioned to almost exclusively work with beauty, healthcare, and wellness-type businesses.

Delphinium is pleased to offer quality, as well as affordable, marketing, graphic design, and web design services to beauty, healthcare, and wellness businesses to help them grow their business by helping them grow their online presence.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with a minor in Marketing from WV State University. During my time there, I was a named PR Student of the Year. I also hold an Associate’s Degree in Professional Writing with a minor in Public Relations. I’ve won a few professional awards, including one for SEO that was a top-10 finalist for Best in WV out of 137 entries.

Continuing Education is something that is very important to me, because it’s important to stay up-to-date with current trends, especially in the areas of SEO and web design. Since 2015, I’ve completed over 50 hours and 9 different courses in the areas of web design and development, internet marketing, SEO, and graphic design.
