How to get these reviews? Ask your clients and customers. I’m bad about doing this myself. If I asked for reviews the way I should, I’m sure I’d have a lot more.
Some things that may help encourage reviews is if you have a physical location, put a sign by your checkout counter with qr codes and links to at least your Google reviews. But if you are doing great with Google reviews, consider adding a sign, such as from Etsy, that also includes Facebook.
Service-based or mobile businesses may want to create a business care to hand out at the end of the appointment that go smoothly. One side of the card should request a Google reviews and include a QR code, as well as a link to your Google Reviews for those not familiar with how QR codes work. The other side of the card can have your basic information.
What Not to Do
If you go from getting no or few reviews and all of a sudden get several new reviews in a day or a month, even if they are all legitimate, Google may scrutinize the situation more closely. Here’s what could happen:
